OH Sophie, how I hate to hear how unwell you've been. I haven't been on for a while so I am pleased to see you went to Alton Towers.

I will say a big prayer for the hospital stay and the biologic- you're so brave.

Much love,

Amanda

Thanks again for the replies , got home from hospital at 5pm long day but had a good chat with the OT she is doing me new splints and arranging physio and new inner soles for my shoes,i am also getting a silver ring that has to go on my middle finger of my right hand as i have stage 1 swan finger, she also said has any one suggested knuckle replacement for two knuckles on my right hand ( these are the worst, permanently feel broken) i ended up crying when she asked me how i was and she has said to put in for cares allowance , she is ringing social services as she thinks i could do with help around the house, ive put it off for a long time but do think its becoming more and more difficulty for me doing every day house work ( i only do what is necessary ) and have to ask family for help like changing the bed and cleaning the bathroom and kitchen , had bloods and x ray and seen doctor every thing ok for tomorrow ,

You have been through a lot today you poor thing. I hope the splints will help you.
I wear splints are night but soon I think I may be wearing splint as my hands and fingers in
particular are very sore.

Good luck

Oh Sophie, thank goodness for your OT!
That's so good that she's helping you, especially with help around the house, it certainly sounds as if you need help there.
I know what you mean about crying because she was kind and asked how you are, if I'm feeling bad and someone is kind it makes me cry! I suspect it happens to most of us.
Getting help with the housework will mean you are less exhausted and will have more energy for your little boy.
Hope you can rest tonight, and good luck for tomorrow.

Love, Doreen xx

You have been through a hard day but well done for telling the OT. I hope they will get you some help, you need and deserve this.

It is very painful to have to accept help but that's what it's there for and if it makes your life a little easier then that is great!

Much love to you, (I'd had a big glass of wine for you if I was able!)

Hi Sophie

So pleased your visit went so well today, having somebody who is so understanding makes such a difference. Housework and all the chores round the home are hard enough for the most healthy, so really good you will get some help, its the least you deserve.

Thinking of you tomorrow,

Julia x

Hi Sophie, sorry to hear things are so difficult for you at the moment. I'm glad your OT listened to you - mine is great too. I'm sure it will be a relief to you to get some help even though it's hard to accept at the moment. Am thinking of you. Julie

Had my first round of Rituximab , after the first hour got a sore throat again then felt funny in my head and my ears went weird (was talking to a lady and then couldn't hear her properly ) , nurse said i went a funny colour, felt frightened and told the nurse she stopped it straight away and rang the doctor, he came up and checked my chest and asked me a few things after half an hour they decided to try again slowly and i was ok , didn't get home till after 9pm so am tired ,
Thanks again for your replies ,

hi sophie

pleased you had the rtx, often people feel awful during it. But then it passes. Sometimes there is a flair to follow but then it passes.

Much love to you

Went to the ENT appointment this afternoon had woken up with a face the colour of a tomato and was all puffy ( must have been the infusion ) anyway he looked at my nose and put a small camera up it , he made a sketch of the nose and the dent/split in the cartilage , i had to have 3 different bloods done to see if something ( can not remember what he said ) was present in the blood that could cause the cartilage to reseed, he told me he didn't think it was this but if it is then they will get in touch, i have a 3 month appointment to go back and see him , but if it goes any worse he said go back straight away , very relieved as have been very worried about this,
Last hospital appointment tomorrow checking how my knee replacement is after one year, can not wait for the weeked as im staying in and resting ThumpUp

What a week you've had Sophie!
Is there anything they can do for the split cartilage?
Hope tomorrow goes ok for you.

Thanks Lorna and Doreen, yes ive had a full on week Doreen, as for the cartilage there are fillers you can have the doctor told me or even plastic surgery if it was really bad, but i dont need that yet ( thank God ) my main worry was why is it happening and was it any thing to do with the Lupus ( this can effect the cartilage) the blood results will tell him more and im glad there keeping an eye on it ,i also mentioned that my nose can go freezing cold !

Had my knee replacement yearly check up today, every thing was good ,have to try and do some exercises to strengthen the muscle in the thigh as i still cant come down the stairs properly , i have to come down good leg first each time , mentioned to the lady about the muscle or cartilage that is now popping out the inside of my good knee( this happened last Friday) she said to wait and see if the injection works and if not get x ray to see what it is and if it is some thing that can be fixed with surgery then to ring the hospital back , to be honest its not popping out as much now and she said its one of 3 things cartilage , muscle or ligament, this must be common as it happened to my knee that was replaced too . Dont want to see another hospital for a while LOL
